In the city of Tokyo, two young women, Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki, embark on a journey of self-discovery and new beginnings. Nana Komatsu, a cheerful and friendly individual, is driven by a desire for romantic bliss, while Nana Osaki, a talented punk vocalist, aims to make a name for herself in the music industry. Despite their differences, both Nanas share a determination to succeed in their respective passions. Nana Komatsu's naivety has led to a string of unfulfilling relationships, but her decision to follow her boyfriend, Shouji Endo, to Tokyo marks a turning point. Meanwhile, Nana Osaki's heart is still reeling from a recent breakup with her band's bassist, Ren Honjou. As the two Nanas navigate their new lives in Tokyo, they find themselves brought together by circumstance and ultimately become roommates.
