In a secluded village, the twin siblings Yuru and Asa were born under the watchful eyes of day and night. Years have passed, and while Yuru has grown into a skilled hunter, Asa has been confined to a prison-like cage, bound to serve a mysterious purpose that prohibits her from interacting with anyone outside a select few. The fragile balance of their lives is shattered when a ruthless group of "dragon" riders, armed to the teeth and flying in helicopters, descends upon the village, slaughtering every adult in their path. The true horror unfolds when Yuru discovers Asa's lifeless body, only to be confronted by a woman claiming to be his long-lost twin sister.

As Yuru's world crumbles, he is rescued by the enigmatic Ryuu "Dera" Tadera, an outsider with ties to the village. However, their brief respite is short-lived, and they soon find themselves cornered by their relentless pursuers. In a desperate bid to turn the tide, Dera implores Yuru to offer a sacred gift to the village's deity, unleashing a pair of daemons bound to reveal the truth behind the chaos that has engulfed their lives.
